Events and Festivals

We also have some exciting events and festivals coming up which will help you see the city in a brand new light.

Accommodation

Our hotels and accommodation providers have been working hard to ensure that your stays are comfortable and safe.

Here are changes that some of our businesses have made

A few things to remember

We’re Good To Go – look out for the national mark on websites and windows. These businesses have been recognised for taking the utmost care before welcoming you back.

Know Before You Go – visit the business’ website before you make a trip. Attractions, pubs and restaurants may require you to book ahead online. They will also tell you what steps have been taken to ensure your safety.

Wear a face mask or covering – this is now the law if you’re shopping in an enclosed space; visiting a museum, gallery, cinema or a place of worship; taking public transport or in the station.

Keep your distance – Observe social distancing inside and outside. Keep 2 metres apart (or 1 metre + where this is not possible). Queues, one-way systems and reduced capacity may also be in place in some businesses.

Travelling safely – travel on foot and bike is recommended. If you’re driving, some car parks have cashless payment systems. If you have to take public transport, please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Are you well? – If you are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, or sharing a household or support bubble with somebody with symptoms, it is recommended that you do not travel.

Avoid peak times – this will help you avoid queues and put less pressure on the businesses.
